Electrolysis offers permanent hair removal that is suitable for people of all genders, skin colors and hair types. It’s the only permanent hair removal solution approved by the Food and Drug Association (FDA). Large volume electrolysis entails the same process as regular electrolysis, with the added benefit of an additional technician (when necessary), longer treatment hours, and our exclusive comfort protocol.
Large volume electrolysis is an effective way of removing large amounts of facial and bikini hair. At Cirine®, we offer virtually pain-free electrolysis treatments by providing numbing cream, numbing injections, and IV sedation.
This is a common treatment for women with PCOS, and transgender people, especially transgender women. Our large volume sessions allow for quicker results, and our team is passionate about supporting people on their journeys to the hair-free look they desire.
Bikini and Brazilian treatments are also regularly requested, and our reduced-pain methods support hair removal from delicate skin. Everyone has a different tolerance to pain, and we want our clients to undergo our treatments without discomfort.
Some of the advantages of large volume electrolysis include:
Large volume electrolysis requires fewer sessions, helping you reach your goals sooner.
Our exclusive comfort protocol includes numbing cream, local anesthetic injections, & IV sedation.
Two of our expert technicians work together for fast and optimal results.
We estimate up to 110 hours rather than 200 to 400 hours or more.
We offer up to 15 treatment hours per day (7.5 hours with 2 electrologists) to speed up your results.
Large volume electrolysis is ideal for:
Electrolysis is suitable for anyone who has increased hair growth due to Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).
Any person who struggles with conditions that cause excessive and dark hair growth can turn to large volume electrolysis for a permanent hair removal solution.
This treatment is common among male-to-female transgender people as facial hair removal and genital hair removal are gender-affirming procedures.
If laser hair removal has not worked to fully remove your unwanted bikini hair or facial hair in the past, and you are looking for better results, electrolysis the best option for permanent hair removal.
Anyone can choose this treatment, and the Cirine® team is here to answer any questions and offer recommendations.
A few things you should know about large volume electrolysis:
Hair grows in various cycles, and electrolysis is most successful in the growth phase, also known as the anagen phase.
Due to the above-mentioned growth cycles, multiple sessions are necessary to achieve hair-free results. Cirine® technicians will advise you on scheduling to ensure a quick and effective journey with us.
Large volume electrolysis offers a shorter completion period of about a year instead of the usual two to five years estimated for regular electrolysis treatments.
Electrolysis is usually considered a cosmetic treatment, but it can also be recommended to treat hirsutism, a condition that causes people (mostly women) to be prone to excessive hair growth, and for gender-affirming care or those affected by PCOS.
Our expert technicians at Cirine® Hair Removal & Skin Care are ready to answer your questions and explain the process of our electrolysis treatments.

Cirine® believes everyone should have a chance to feel like their true selves. That’s why we offer various payment plans, so you can receive treatment now and pay later.
We begin with a consultation to determine your unique needs based on your skin and hair type. Everyone’s requirements will differ, and we prioritize understanding your desires and allowing you to ask any questions. We will also brief you on our preparatory guide, which includes drinking plenty of water and avoiding caffeine and alcohol for 72 hours before the treatment.
The procedure itself is preceded by our comfort protocol. Your technician will apply numbing cream 15 to 30 minutes before numbing injections and IV sedation are administered. This will allow you to relax and remain at ease throughout.
Your electrologist (or electrologists) will then insert a small probe into each hair follicle to damage it with alternating electrical currents to heat and destroy the follicle base. After your session, Cirine® offers treatment enhancements should you wish to reduce swelling and improve skin repair.
